RapidSwitch offers Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Next-Generation Firewalls
Upgrade to new RapidSwitch Cisco firewalls offers greater control over security.
Customers of dedicated server hosting brand RapidSwitch, which is part of iomart Group plc, can now take advantage of Cisco® ASA 5500-X Series Next-Generation Firewalls for comprehensive security without compromise.
Through an array of integrated cloud and software based security services these next generation firewalls add capabilities such as Application Visibility and Control (AVC), Web Security Essentials (WSE) and Intrusion Prevention (IPS) with no need for additional hardware modules resulting in end-to-end network intelligence and streamlined security operations.
The full suite of Cisco ASA 5500-X firewalls is available through the RapidSwitch website including the 5512-X which is fully gigabit capable without the need for the Security Plus license upgrade; as well as the 5515-X which comes as standard with the Security Plus license and is available as a high-availability pair for complete redundancy.
Neil Christie, Commercial Director for RapidSwitch, said: "The rise in highly dynamic applications and BYOD in conjunction with the increase in web-based threats means businesses of all sizes are being challenged to provide enhanced network security for their hosting environment while maintaining high levels of performance. The Cisco ASA 5500-X Series of Next Generation Firewalls gives RapidSwitch customers a comprehensive network-integrated solution that allows them to benefit from these new applications and devices without compromising on security."
The ASA 5500-X Series firewalls deliver multiple security services, multi-gigabit performance, flexible interface options, and redundant power supplies, all in a compact 1-RU form factor. They have four times the throughput of the previous generation models.
